    Switzerland is a small country in Western and Central Europe. It has an area of around 41,000 sq km and about 8.6 million people.

    - Switzerland has a prosperous and highly developed economy based on a skilled labor force, low taxes, and modern infrastructure. Key industries include banking, pharmaceuticals, machinery, and tourism.

    - The country has a very high standard of living and quality of life. It ranks highly for economic competitiveness, civil rights, and human development.

    - Swiss culture blends Germanic, French, and Italian influences. The country is renowned for its watches, chocolate, cheeses like Emmentaler and Gruyère, and mountain scenery.
