    1. They Lack the Discipline to Build Your Life and Business While Travelling Successfully

As was the case for me, the constant novelty, beautiful locations, amazing people, and exquisite cuisine can quickly derail your habits and throw you into a downward spiral of partying to excess and living a fast-paced lifestyle.

If you have not yet cultivated the discipline to do what needs to be done, NO MATTER WHAT, then the digital nomad lifestyle isn’t sustainable.

Unless you have the internal fortitude to tell that beautiful Colombian woman that you can’t come out and party with her and her two gorgeous friends because you need to write copy for your latest sales funnel… Then, you may need to discontinue the DN lifestyle until you can temporarily.

    2. They Crave the Structure and Routines of Living in One Place for an Extended period

Something that isn’t always immediately obvious is that there is a BIG difference between being a digital nomad and an expat.

A digital nomad will change countries/locations roughly every 30–90 days.

They will not stay in one Place longer than their tourist Visa allows, and they rarely put down roots.

If you crave structure, habits, and routines, then at some point, you will want to hang up your nomadic mantle and settle down for 12–24 months.

    3. They Can’t Handle the Constant Stress

Anyone who tells you that being a digital nomad is easy is lying through their teeth.

Whether you are getting harassed by police in other countries, missing your flights and overstaying your Visa due to circumstances outside of your control, or sleeping on an airport bench because your wallet was stolen and you have no way to access your funds, you are GOING to get stressed on the road.

Many people realize that stress is too much. They know that spending nine months working in the U.S. and three months living abroad is the ideal ratio to avoid all of the stress and anxiety that come with a long-term nomadic lifestyle.
