Burundi is a small landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east and south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. The capital of Burundi is Gitega, but the largest city and main port is Bujumbura. The country is known for its hilly landscape, lush greenery, and stunning views of Lake Tanganyika.

Burundi has a diverse cultural heritage, with influences from the Twa, Hutu, and Tutsi ethnic groups. Traditional drumming and dancing play an essential role in Burundian culture, and the country is known for its vibrant music and dance traditions.

The economy of Burundi is primarily based on agriculture, with coffee being a major export crop. The country also produces tea, cotton, and sugar for export. Despite its agricultural resources, Burundi faces challenges of food insecurity, poverty, and political instability.

Burundi has a troubled history marked by ethnic conflict and civil war. The country has tried to promote peace and reconciliation, and the Arusha Peace Agreement 2000 helped pave the way for a democratic transition. Burundi is also known for its wildlife, including national parks like Kibira National Park and Ruvubu National Park, home to diverse species of animals and birds.
