His requirements: good connectivity (low-cost airlines) so he could visit clients, affordable, good quality of life, internet

He chose Barcelona

All were great cities; all had lots of pluses, but for him (and this very personal, of course):

the weather

access to beaches

access to mountains

very cosmopolitan and lots of culture
